About us
Our History
Mariner Sands Charity Week is the giving spirit of the Mariner Sands Community that is called “legendary” by Martin County fund raising professionals and news organizations.
MSCW was created in 2012 by the joining of the fund raising efforts of Operation Outreach and Mariner Sands Classic. It is an independent organization of club member volunteers and endorsed by the Mariner Sands Board of Governors annually.
Our mission is to provide support to charities that serve people in need of food, clothing, or a roof over their heads. We seek out the charities that have a proven record of success doing this. We focus on the charities that also provide counseling to help our disadvantaged neighbors become self-sustaining. We also focus on:
- Dental care for uninsured children from age 1-18
- Transitional housing for homeless families
- Counseling and job training for at risk teens
- Housing and services for the disabled
Our efforts are a great source of pride for each and every member of the community of Mariner Sands.
